Synopsis: Why build one venture? Create hundreds.
Problem: Gov-Co* wanted to create more structure in their front end of their innovation model. They knew they had great talent inside their team, but wanted more consistency in how they approached things.
Solution: We had another client about to kick off on their own accelerator – and joining it would be a perfect learning vehicle for Gov-Co. With this in mind, we engaged both parties and floated the idea of a joint program. They leapt at the chance to join forces. Not only would it allow them to accelerate learning, but it would reduce the cost on both sides.
Result: Gov-Co and the other client relished working together. Because they’d shared ideas and adapted things in real-time, the test provided them with a blueprint to design their own process. And in addition, Gov-co’s trial venture was also a huge success. To our excitement, their venture received funding from the company and was launched within four months.
